Some of our family's favorite memories began long before we arrived.

Hi, I'm Sabrina, a homeschooling mom of four boys and the creator of Bokenvia.

Travel changed the way we explored the world. Instead of waiting until we reached a destination, we learned its story first. By the time we visited, my boys already knew the people, history, and places that made it special.

I searched for guides that would help us learn this way together, convinced someone had already created them. But I couldn't find what I was looking for.

So I made my own.

Before every trip, I'd spend hours pulling together the stories, activities, and experiences I wanted my boys to have. Eventually I realized that if I had been searching for something like this, other families probably were too.

That's how Bokenvia was born.

The name combines the Japanese word bōken (adventure) with the Italian word via (way), inspired by two countries that shaped my love of travel and learning. Together, it means The Way to Adventure.

Today, Bokenvia helps homeschooling, worldschooling, and adventure-loving families experience history, nature, and culture through storytelling, hands-on activities, and real-world exploration.
